Little Pippins Preschool are brilliant. Our little boy started at the setting extremely shy, quiet and reluctant to go. With the support and trust of all the staff he now runs into preschool every day and has grown so much in confidence. The staff are all so caring and professional. They have been a brilliant support to our son and us as a family over the past 7 months. Thank you .We would 100% recommend Little Pippins Preschool H.Lawson 2022
NAMING YOUR CHILD'S ITEMS:
Can we please ask that all items brought into the setting are named. It is much easier to send children home with the correct coats, shoes, lunchboxes, tubs etc, if they are clearly named.
USING THE FOOTPATH:
It is very important that parents and carers ALWAYS use the footpaths to access the setting and NOT walk through the carpark. This is to avoid accidents and to teach the children road safety.
PARENT HELPERS:
We always welcome parents and carers to come and spend a session with us. If you can spare some time to come and play, read and get crafty with us please speak to a member of staff.
USE OF THE CAR PARK:
Please be reminded that the Car Park is only for use by Staff members, Blue Badge holders, that are attending Little Pippins.
This decision has been made to be in line with the Greenmeadow School Rules.
PUSHCHAIRS:
Please avoid bringing in your child's pushchair into the building . Please store in shelter around the side of the building. Pushchairs are not permitted past the reception areas for health and safety reasons.

Ethos and Mission Statement
Our ethos and vision in the setting is for Little Pippins Preschool is to strive to provide children and their families with a happy, friendly , inclusive and stimulating environment for the children to learn and flourish and to feel welcomed.

Children are active learners; children learn best through play and through providing the children with a wide range of activities and experiences at preschool children begin to experience and learn about the world around them and how to cope with life’s many excitements and challenges.

We recognise that parents are their child’s first educators and as such children have already learned a huge variety of skills at home which we then further build upon within the social environment here at preschool. Open and honest communications between staff and the child’s parents/carers are crucial to help to enhance a child’s education

When children feel happy and secure they are confident to explore and to try out new things. Secure relationships away from parents/carers are crucial to a child’s wellbeing, each child is nurtured as an individual here at preschool and we value and incorporate all aspects of children’s lives, building a strong partnership with community and future schools.

We offer a wide range of educational opportunities tailored to each child’s abilities and provide experiences that enrich each child’s personal, social, emotional, physical, intellectual, cognitive and creative abilities, all underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) following the children lead through in the moment planning.

Reminders
The Pre-School is open Monday to Friday.
The setting is open for 48 weeks each year. We provide care and education
for young children between the ages of 3mth and 4 years, in our preschool and Afterschool club caters for 4-11 year old and Holiday club caters for 3-9 year olds.

Government Initiative Safeguarding
Our setting has a duty under the law to help safeguard children against suspected or actual ‘significant harm’. Therefore we have a duty of care to the children we care for and have a responsibility to pass on concerns to children social care.
Our employment practices ensure children against the likelihood of abuse in our settings and we have a procedure for managing complaints or allegations against a member of staff.
